Q: How can I register?
A: To register simply click on the "register" link, which is found on both the header and footer navigation sections and complete registration by providing you details when asked for.
Q: Is there a charge to register?
A: Registration is FREE to our auction site. Once you have joined - as a member you will never have to pay for your membership.
Q: I'm under 18 and can't signup?
A: In accordance with standard law people under the age of 18 cannot participate in auctions as they are legally binding contracts.
Q: How can I list an item?
A: First you must be a registered member. Once you have registered, simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item, note that you can choose a much more specific category, once you are further into the listing process. You can then enter in your chosen settings and then your item description.
Q: How can I keep track of items I'm selling?
A: You can keep an eye on everything that you are selling, simply by visiting your member’s area and selecting the "selling" page.
Q: Can I use HTML when listing an item?
A: Please Note: Although links are usually used to send people to other web pages, members on BuySellNow are not permitted to use HTML code for any way of hypertext links use links to direct people to a specific address. It is not permitted to list HTML code in a form of text or Images or HTML code as links. You must not use HTML code as links to other sites during listings to promote a business or website other than the item is offered for sale on BuySellNow Auction in your listing.
Please Note: Inserting other links into your auctions while trying to list is not allowed and will be removed by our administration team. This feature is forbidden at any time while selling any type of goods using this auction facility.
Q: Can I use a template?
A: You are welcome to use a template but, have you seen our pre-filled auction items facility? If not, please see our answers to speeding up auction listings as you can pre fill many of the standard areas such as payments, returns policy, postage costs and so on. These can be changed on an auction by auction basis if you need to of course. If you want a different look, fonts, sizes, font colours and background colours can all be changed to suit your needs
Q: Can I use JavaScript?
A: We do not allow the use of JavaScript in descriptions due to the security threat these scripts pose
Q: Can I relist my items if it doesn’t sell?
A: When you set up your item auctions you'll see a tick box asking if you'd like to Auto Relist. If you place a tick in that box your item will be relisted. You can relist your item up to 30 times. While relisting is free, if you have selected any payable options these will be charged each time you are relisting your auction.
Q: How can I place a bid?
A: To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account. Once logged in bidding box will be displayed at the bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to place you chosen bid.
Q: How can I keep track of items I'm bidding on?
A: You can keep an eye on everything that you are bidding on by simply visiting your member’s area and selecting the "bidding" page.
Q: How do I know if I have been outbid on an item?
A: Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you have been outbid.
A: There is not a great deal that you can do about the problems that you may encounter with a particular transaction other than what is already open to you through normal legal recourse. However for BuySellNow Auction to be effective all public feedback positive or negative, regarding transactions only goes to improve the effectiveness of the BuySellNow Auction system. Constructive mature criticism of a seller or buyer assists all other users to identify potential problems when bidding, making the BuySellNow Auction site a safer place to buy and sell.
Feedback forums can only be truly effective when all users approach the feedback forum with a mature and fair attitude, remembering that there are always two sides to a story. A bidder should never be dissuaded from bidding on a lot because the seller has had negative feedback, but rather judge each particular case on its merits.
If you are making a complaint about someone in the feedback forum, please try to resolve the conflict with that person directly before leaving negative feedback.
